Knightsbridge is one of the more exclusive residential and retail areas to be found in London. Visitors to the area can fill their days by shopping and sightseeing. It is also a great place to visit later in the evening, and its restaurants, bars, and pubs ensure a wonderful night out.

Restaurants in Knightsbridge
There are some world class restaurants in Knightsbridge to choose from. Many of these are to be found in the high end hotels in the area. One restaurant in particular that stands out is Dinner by Heston Blumenthal. This is the formal dining area in the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel on Knightsbridge. Some dishes there are based on recipes that go as far back as the 14th century. They are all served with that special twist that Heston is so famous for.
Koffmans’s French restaurant, the One O One seafood restaurant, and the Rib and Room Bar and Restaurant are just three other examples of the wide variety of restaurants in the area. It is almost possible to sample food from every country around the world without leaving Knightsbridge itself!
Pubs and Bars in Knightsbridge
Almost without exception, the hotels in the Knightsbridge area have bars in them which serve cocktails through to pints. On some evenings, they can be so lively, that there is no need to leave. The surrounding area does have some other watering holes which are certainly worth trying out though.
The Paxtons Head is as close to a traditional English pub as the Knightsbridge area has, and the building is a Grade 2 listed old Victorian Tavern. A range of ales and more contemporary beers are served inside. As with most pubs nowadays, food is available as well. The Grenadier over on Belgrave Square and The Bunch of Grapes are another two pubs worth a visit, and are popular with real beer drinkers.
Clubs in Knightsbridge
Knightsbridge is not exactly the sort of area that people choose to go clubbing., but fortunately, Mayfair is just a short stroll away. The nightlife in Mayfair is legendary of course. The bars and clubs attract a well to do crowd of socialites, super rich and A-list celebrities. Funkybuddha, Jalouse and Aura Mayfair are just some of the joints that stand out. There always seems to be a new place opening which is the next cool thing. Some of these clubs do have a membership policy. It is worth checking out well in advance before visiting how to get yourself onto the guest list, or acquire temporary membership.
Other Entertainment in Knightsbridge
Technically just outside of the immediate Knightsbridge area, Cadogan Hall is a 900 seat venue that features concerts and other events throughout the year. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is the resident orchestra here, which gives some indication as to just how good the events are. To watch a play, the nearest theatre is The Royal Court Theatre on Sloane Square in Belgravia. They have a knack of discovering great new works and voices ahead of everyone else.
